Who is the Only Begotten?

Did you know that there is someone who wants to have a deep and loving relationship with you at this very moment?

What if I were to tell you that and absolutely, without a doubt, know that it is true?

Jesus does. He wants to know you. He already does. The question is, do you know Him?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Friends, the Only Begotten I refer to in the title of this site is none other than Jesus Christ of Nazareth himself.

What does it mean to be only begotten?

Well, it means that there is only one. Isn’t that interesting?

An only child.

Adam was God’s first created man, but he was not God’s son.

Let’s think about that for a minute. Here is God, the Creator of the universe(s), creating the first man, and when He was done, He was pleased. We have evidence of this in Genesis 1:31 :

“God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.”

God believes you to be a good creation, too, so much so that He sent His only son to die on a cross to cover your sins. The wonderful news for us is that Jesus rose again on the third day and now, thanks to the miracle of His death and resurrection, we may spend eternity with our Lord and Savior.

If Adam, God’s first ever created man, was not God’s son, can you imagine how special Jesus was to Him?

Will you listen as Jesus calls to you today?

If this post has reached you in any way, I would recommend getting a Bible if you do not already have one. I specifically say this because if you feel like you need to make a decision to follow Christ today, reading Romans 10:9-10 will be an excellent place to start your new walk with the Lord.

If you or a loved one is struggling to own a Bible, churches and libraries will be a good place to gain access to one. Many churches would be happy to provide you with one, and it’s a great place to talk to someone about the next steps if you have decided to accept Jesus as your savior!

How exciting it would be for you to turn to the Creator of the universe who loves you so, to accept the gift of eternal life from Jesus Christ who wants nothing more than to have a relationship with you.
